So on to the travel portion of class with Shimelle– and thinking about what I have in my suitcase when I travel. Jon, my husband would say too much… and well about half way into any trip I agree with him… but before that I must pack and when I pack here are some must have items…….
journal
pencils and pen
possibly travel watercolors if I think I will have time to paint
reading- usually some novel and a book of poetry
something to knit
a camera
music- most recently an ipod
(have you noticed the lack of practical stuff?)
jeans
wonderful shoes… one pair of wonderfully comfy and another of wonderful looking(usually heals that i don’t wear)
black dress
black pants
shirts- usually of the jersey variety
something comfy to sleep in
some kind of sweater or hoodie or sweater hoodie

Scrap Your Day…
As if I wasn’t still reeling from the fabulous “There’s No Place Like Home Class” more fun with Shimelle starts tomorrow with her Scrap Your Day Project. This is a year long project where you document your the 25th day of each month for a year. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us. WooHoo!
A Study of Doors in My Life
One of the prompts for the “There’s No Place Like Home” Class deals with doors in our lives. It gives you an opportunity to think about all of the doors in your life. This could be friends and family or daily routine doors… the possibilities are endless… but I choose none of these because I happen to have moved recently to a piece of property that has about 14 doors on it… and I thought, “When is something like that ever going to happen again?” So, I decided to document the doors of this place that have just come into our lives…..
I had a lot of fun with this album. It got me thinking and I like how it turned out. You will notice that I went a bit crazy (though totally not in a bad way) with some new stamps that I have. They happened to be designed by Shimelle Laine, our lovely instructor for this class. They are called Greenwhich Park and available at
Banana Frog– and they are WONDERFUL! If you want to see the rest of the album you can find it over at my Flickr account.
I am in love with this album- I think I have to go stare at it some more. Have a lovely Sunday evening.
Drink Me Class…
I had so much fun completing Shimelle’s Drink Me Class that she did for UK Scrappers. When she said in her istructions that you might want to attach this little book to your purse… I thought – no probably not- but now I am so in love with it that I think I just might. 🙂

This particular handmade goody is a thank you note from Tree Fall Designs.

I had so much fun with this. Thanks to UK Scrappers and Shimelle for this class.
